Proposal: So what I did was create a retail store. I sectioned off the top left corner for a clearance rack, making it easy for shoppers to know where to get there clothes for a cheaper price. The strip to the right is the fitting rooms. Fitting rooms are essential for all retail stores, so its just fitting to have the room right in the back. The cash register is in the front like a normal retail store with returns and customer service right next to it. The enterance and exit is to the right of the cash register for an easy exit.
Final Proposal: For the final business design I have chosen to create a dog washing business which will be run out of a residency. This business will have multiple rooms including an area to wash dogs, dry them, and perhaps keep them until their owners come to pick them up. This residency will be a one story building with a separate garage area used to keep the dogs. The garage will be 15' by 15' and will have multiple windows so visibility can be high to keep an eye on the dogs. The main building itself will be approximately 30' by 50' and will be based on an open area concept. When first entering the building there will be a large open area used for guests and potential customers. to the right will be an opening to another room which will also be attached to other rooms. Proceeding straight through the second room there will be a door to a second room with the same dimensions as the first. This room will be the corner of the building and have multiple windows which give a good look around the property. These windows will also be useful for keeping the pets calm. Going back into the first room there is another long room off to the left in relation to the first opening. This room will be equipped with driers and blowers to help dry off the dogs as quickly as possible to increase the productivity of the business. This building will not house or sleep any people and is purely built for a business. The property on which the building will be located will be in a reasonably populated area but not in a strictly business zoned area. the feeling of comfort and relaxation is important with building trust in customers and this feeling should help bring back customers for a more successful business. The buildings themselves would be made out of red brick so it seems more professional, but not institutional.

Final Project
For the final in this class I chose to make a gas station. This design would mimic that of a Sunoco and has many windows for a more modern, open feel. The windows allow for more light to come through for a more relaxed look. The store would most likely be located on a corner so it can attract the most customers. The corner would allow ease of access for potential customers and may draw new customers due to its convenient location. The gas station would have multiple shelves and a row of coolers against the back wall of the building. These coolers would contain perishable items and drinks which must be kept cold. At the right of the store as soon as you walk in, you will find the cash register and the counter. This is located next to the door to deter stealing and for convenience. At the back wall of the store is a door which initially leads to an office space. Through the office space is a stock room which will have a garage door out the back for large trucks to come unload shipments. This will allow for overstock items to be recorded and maintained. This type of gas station is new and is more customer friendly which would hopefully bring in more customers. It would not have the largest selection of items but the items that are in stock would be the most popular ones to increase revenue and cut costs.
